Here at TreeClear UK, we provide a range of services that are tailored towards the specific needs and requirements of the peatland itself and the client. Whether you’re a private client or public entity, we work with you to ensure proper restoration.
Rejuvenating your landscape is our overall goal and we may carry out one or several of the following to achieve this:
Low Ground Pressure Mulching
To prepare sites for essential peatland restoration work, Treeclear UK uses advanced low ground pressure equipment to flail and mulch vegetation right down to ground level. This initial clearance phase is crucial, as it creates a clean, accessible surface that allows for smoother and more effective implementation of bunding and ditch-blocking measures.
Stump Grinding & Stump Augering
When transitioning forested areas in Staffordshire back to bogland, stump grinding and augering are indispensable techniques in peatland restoration. Stump grinding employs advanced tools like low-pressure excavators fitted with hydraulic grinding wheels to reduce stumps to ground level or lower. In contrast, stump augering uses a corkscrew-shaped hydraulic attachment to efficiently drill and remove stumps, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding terrain.
